Borno state pays N22.5m scholarship to 75 Borno law students

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has approved and released N22.5m for payment of scholarship to 75 citizens of Borno State in law schools.

The State Commissioner for Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Babagana Mustapha Mallambe announced this in a statement on Monday, March 15, revealing that payments to students have already began with each being paid N300,000.

The governor had also in January 2021 approved the release of N624m to be paid to over 23,776 indigenes of Borno in 49 tertiary institution across the country, as well as extending financial support to resident doctors who are indigenes of Borno state found in different parts of Nigeria.
